About The Sketch Collective
The Sketch Collective opened its doors in April of 2012. We offer drawing and art courses to school age children, adults and families as well as museum field trips, photography workshops and classes.
The Sketch Collective is owned and operated by a local SF resident and created specifically to serve our residents by offering high quality art classes to our children and families. We envision growing to become a community gathering place that supports artists and brings art into the world and everyday life of our families.
In keeping with our broader mission to support the arts, 5% of all profits are donated to local arts educational nonprofits, such as the San Francisco Children's Art Center, Precita Eyes and the San Francisco Arts Education Project.
Artist Jaime Longa is native to San Francisco and has had exhibitions throughout the country including venues such as the De Young Museum, the Capitol in Washington, and multiple galleries throughout the Bay Area. His work has received multiple awards.
Jaime received his BFA at Academy of Art University with distinction and continued on to pursue fine art full time as well as teach the arts to students ranging from children to adults.
Jaime continues to exhibit his work in galleries and carry out commission pieces within San Francisco where he continues to reside. To see his work, please visit his personal website www.jaimelonga.com.
Director of The Sketch Collective
Blue Mudbhary has been lucky enough to live in this lovely city by the bay for over fifteen years, and to explore nearly every corner of it as a parent. She brings retail, business and educational experience to this venture of creating an art studio to teach drawing to San Francisco’s school age children, as well as creating an artistic place where adults and whole families can learn to capture the world around them through art.
